Yes, the limit is 50GB on your home directory and no you can't increase it.  If you need more space
you can request for space on /research (or /data if you are in Murali's group).  Please note that /research is not backed up due to it's size.
- What machines are allowed on the network?
Only VT owned servers and workstations are allowed on the VT or private GigE networks
