Computational Biology and Bioinformatics
New Students Primer:
- Who do I ask for help?

- When I have a problem what information do they need to know?
- Your PID/UID - Your location (building, room, cubical, etc) - Your workstation name - Your best description of what is not working for you
- What resources do I have available to me?
- <your own workstation> - bioterm1 - shared resource - bioterm2 - shared resource - mnemosyne - shared resource - mnemosyne2 - shared resource (Shared Resource means that before you submit a task, you need to make sure there are resources available to run)
- How do I make a website on bioinformatics?
Create a directory called ~/public_html in your home folder and it will link to http://bioinformatics.cs.vt.edu/~<Your_PID>
