CS Mailing Lists

Computer Science uses software called Mailman to provide mailing lists. Mailman offers a web interface for mailing list settings and membership management.

Creating a List

Lists need to be created manually by Techstaff

  • Our old version of Mailman used a password for each list. The new version uses a password for each email address/account that allows you to control all lists that you manage.
  • The web interface is IP limited to VT campus and VT VPN
  • URL: https://mailman.cs.vt.edu/mailman3

Create Account

Mailman uses a separate unique username and password. You will need to create your own account the first time you access it. Click on the Sign Up and enter your information. You will need to verify your email address by following a link sent to the email address.
