How to create your personal website

Personal web space is available to CS faculty, staff, and graduate students at people.cs.vt.edu.

• URL is http://people.cs.vt.edu/yourpid or http://people.cs.vt.edu~yourpid
• You can access the data directly at /web/people/yourpid on rlogin.cs.vt.edu or ap1.cs.vt.edu
• SSL encryption is available
• A mysql based database is available, you need to Contact Techstaff to create the database
• If you are wanting to create a blog, then you should consider using the departmental shared Wordpress site: http://wordpress.cs.vt.edu
